MyTeksi sets up 14 terminals

Tourists here can now opt for a safer and convenient taxi service by using the MyTeksi app terminals.

The taxi booking terminals are now available at 14 tourist attractions, namely Bank Negara Museum and Art Gallery, Central Market, Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, Istana Budaya, Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park, Kuala Lumpur City Gallery, Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex, National Museum, National Visual Arts Gallery, Royal Museum, Royal Selangor Visitor Centre, Sasana Kijang, Kuala Lumpur City Walk and Perdana Botanical Gardens.

“We recognise that not all tourists use cell phones while travelling, or have constant connection to the Internet to use the MyTeksi app.

“Thus, together with our partners MyTeksi and Intel, 14 terminals have been set up to help tourists get a taxi,” said Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Seri Ahmad Phesal Talib at the launch held at Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex recently.

He said tourists can easily book their taxi ride to get from one attraction to another.

“If they are unsure of where to go, they can refer to the Visit KL website at the terminals.

“Taxis are important to tourists, greatly impacting the overall tourist experience in the city. There is plenty of room for improvement on the reputation and level of taxi service in Kuala Lumpur.”

MyTeksi head of products Aaron Gill said: “MyTeksi is all about creating a good taxi experience for tourists as well as Malaysians.

“We are excited to collaborate with City Hall to make it convenient for tourists to book a taxi at the terminals,” he said.
