Resorts World Genting has planned a fireworks display in celebration of Labour Day on Sunday at 8pm. To get the best view, visitors are recommended to visit Genting Outdoor Theme Park at the Merdeka Stage, Flying Jumbo or Spinner. The display is subject to weather condition and postponement may take place in the event of poor weather. If this happens, the fireworks show will be held at 8pm the next day. Visitors will also be treated to a free admission to the Genting Outdoor Theme Park after 7pm on Sunday.
To enjoy the rides, evening passes are available at RM20 per person or pay per rides at RM8 per person. The outdoor theme park will be extended to 10pm. For details, visit www.rwgenting.com

House of Matahati (HOM) will showcase seven artists from their past residency programme in a unique exhibition called ‘After Residency’. Visitors will be treated to a reunion and the chance to gain insights into what really happened after a residency. One of them is Azam Aris who has been exhibiting prominently in Malaysia. Also exhibiting is Ruzzeki Harris who has exhibited works that featured a variety of media and his painting, ‘Man-Made Pills’, featured an appropriation of Adam from Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel (The Creation of Adam). The show opens today till May 14. HOM is located at 6A Jalan Cempaka 16, Taman Cempaka, Ampang. Gallery hours are Mon-Fri (11am-6pm), Sat (1pm-6pm) and is closed on Sundays and public holidays. MOST of the time, live music at nightspots in the Klang Valley tends to lean towards rock and pop but there is a thriving jazz scene to be found.
This week, Mezze Lounge ups the ante for jazz afficianados with five nights of international quality jazz from Wednesday to Sunday.
On Wednesday, the ladies take centre stage with Rachel Guerzo and Izlyn Ramly taking turns to show off their prowess on the stage.
Thursday is another night dedicated to women with Junji Delfino and Maya turning up the heat with some great performances.
All set: Junji Delfino will be singing out at Mezze this week.
On Friday and Saturday night, the big bands come out to play with the early sets taken by the MJV Trio featuring Junji Delfino.
The headliners on both nights will be Jeremy Monteiro’s Organamix featuring Richard Jackson.
On Sunday, which is also Mother’s Day, be prepared for surprises as Mezze celebrates with a special jam session.
Other musicians who will be taking the stage during the five-night extravaganza include Michael Veerapen, Daniel Veerapen, Wan Azfarezal, So Wen Ming and Rick Smith.
Famed local jazz pianist Michael Veerapen was appointed as the music director at Mezze in 2010 and he has certainly lived up to expectations with a long list of both local and foreign jazz stars making their way to the stage at Mezze.

The Fashion Week that runs from May 5 to 8 will kick off with a gala night on May 5.

The Fashion Week, which will be hosted by bubbly VJ Natalie Kniese, will bearing the theme ‘Revolution in Progress’ and boast a diverse range of brands catering to modern lifestyle.

A NEW landmark in the capital city — a pedestrian strip mall called KL CityWalk — is set to open in September.
The 500m row of shops fronting Jalan P. Ramlee and Jalan Pinang, will be made up of about 50 outlets, 23 kiosks and 19 carts.
Apart from restaurants, bistros and cafes including a famous local noodle shop from Kampung Baru, KL CityWalk’s attractions will include a local handbag design team that supports an indigenous Thai hilltribe, art dealers and fashion and lifestyle boutiques.
A full concierge service will be made available to provide information to tourists and other visitors while a box office will enable patrons to buy tickets for performances in the Klang Valley.
Calming walk: KL CityWalk will incorporate greenery as one of its striking features.
KL CityWalk itself will be an entertainment spot as an events space will be set up for entertainment and cultural performances.
Built at a cost of RM15mil by Go Venture Sdn Bhd, the mall will be managed by CityWalk Enterprises Sdn Bhd.
Inspiration for the mall came from the Portobello Market in London, Zeil in Frankfurt as well as Xintiandi in Shanghai.
The strip mall is in line with City Hall’s vision to create an iconic location that is available in other cities around the world.
Ronnie Choong, group managing director of Trend Matrix Enterprise Sdn Bhd, the parent company of Go Venture, said construction work on KL CityWalk began in 2007 and the certificate of fitness was issued just two months ago.
He said tenants were expected to open their outlets in July and August followed by a soft launch before the grand opening in September.
“A lot of tourists and locals like to take a stroll in the city but the malls are usually closed, so KL CityWalk will offer something different.
“We are featuring local designers, infusing our multiculture and heritage into this,” he said.
He added that with the LRT and monorail stations close by, the strip mall was conveniently located for pedestrians.
On traffic assessment for the area, Choong said they had taken car parking into consideration to allow people to park in nearby hotels and buildings in the area.
“About 8,000 parking bays are available in the surrounding buildings.
“We are expecting thousands of people to visit the walk all day long,” he said.
Asked about the difference between KL City Walk and Kasturi Walk near the Central Market, Choong said KL CityWalk was a full-fledged mall with events, F&B and a greenery project.

（雪兰莪‧巴生23日讯）巴生开封府为庆祝该庙60周年纪念，将于5月1日（星期日）晚上7时，举办“代天巡狩”花车游行，吸引巴生约50间神庙参与其盛，花车数量超过十辆，是巴生市空前盛大的花车游行。
此次花车游行全程共长13公里，从开封府作为起点，路经孟光路、都古路、都利路、柏西兰柏卡卡、峇都温祖路、班达马兰杨路、陈亚珠路、拉惹鲁慕路及柏西兰拉惹慕达慕沙路回到开封府。
花车游行的开幕仪式，将于当日下午5时30分至6时30分之间进行，待晚上7时一切准备就绪，就按已定路程前进。
黄美才：巴生难得一见盛况
巴生开封府60周年庆典花车游行大会主席拿督黄美才表示，开封府此次举办的花车游行，有幸获得巴生多个神庙大力支持，才有如此盛大的场面。
他出席开封府与参与花车游行的各神庙代表进行交流会时指出，这是巴生多年来难得一见的盛况，欢迎各地善男信女沿路观礼膜拜，祈求保佑。
他说，大会也欢迎有意参与游行的民众，于当日下午5时在开封府集合，壮大游行队伍。

筹委会主席杨忠明透露，此次花车游行不仅能让友族同胞有机会了解道教的宗教内涵，也向友族展现了道教团结的力量。
他说，除了花车游行，该庙在5月的首个星期，都有一系列的活动，包括5月7日（星期六）晚上7时30分，在班达马兰B校设平安晚宴，届时将筵开200席。
他也披露，该庙也设有“拜斗观灯”祈福仪式，在“拜斗观灯”里置放白米、桔饼、红枣及古钱，由道士进行清醮仪式后，为善信添福、添寿、添丁、添财、登科、转运及解厄。
“善信必须于农历四月初一中午1时，进行'拜斗观灯'祈福仪式，然后置放至初四才拿回家安放，单人价钱为88令吉，全家则128令吉。”

下月1日起，新加坡和马来西亚之间手机用户的通话漫游（roaming）收费将调低20%，简讯漫游收费减少30%。
到了明年5月1日，上述两项收费将进一步调低，比现有的收费分别少30%和50%。
数据漫游（data roaming）、多媒体简讯漫游（MMS，又称彩信）和视频通话漫游收费则不变。
新加坡新闻、通讯及艺术部长吕德耀和马来西亚新闻、通讯及文化部长莱士·雅丁博士（Dr Rais Yatim）昨天在临近马来西亚首都吉隆坡的布城（Putrajaya）的香格里拉酒店宣布了这个消息。
莱士说：“这对整个亚细安有启发作用。虽然新马是首两个敲定这类双边协议的亚细安国家，我们已经有来自亚细安他国的同僚，询问这个协议的具体内容。”
这是亚细安十国内，首个双边调低手机漫游收费的协议。新加坡用户所签的移动合同总数超过700万份，协议的签署让他们受惠。

Temporary terminal in Bukit Jalil closed
BUSES have stopped using the Bukit Jalil temporary terminal since the Puduraya bus terminal started operations on Saturday.
The temporary ticket counters and food stalls which were set up at the Bukit Jalil terminal were also found to be empty.
Workers have started dismantling the ticket counters and food stalls.
A food stall operator, who only wanted to be known as Ang, said traders did not move out on April 15 although it was the last day of operations because there were too many of them moving.
“Yesterday, it was too crowded as many of the stall owners and bus operators were moving out. That is why some of us are still here to collect our belongings,” said Ang.
Ceased operations: The temporary ticket counters are empty as the bus operators have relocated to Puduraya.
There were also a banner stating that the terminal has ceased operations.
However, there was also some confusion because there were still some passengers who went to the terminal to buy tickets thinking that the counters were still operating only to be told by the security guards that the bus operators have relocated to Puduraya or Bandar Tasik Selatan.
Wan Yusof Mail, 23, who was there to buy tickets to Cameron Highlands with his friends, said he was not aware of the relocation.
“We heard about it but we were not sure. I also live and work in this area. When I passed by the terminal yesterday it was still operating and there were still a lot of people which is why we came today thinking the counters will be still open,” he said.
Roger Lee, 25, who was also there to buy his ticket to Teluk Intan, said he was confused because there was not much information telling people that the temporary terminal had relocated to Puduraya.
“I did not hear about the relocation. Maybe those who travel frequently would know. Even the taxi driver who took me here thought the terminal was still in operation,” he said.
A tourist from Ireland, Louise Hancock, also travelled to the terminal by taxi only to be told that she had to go to Puduraya.
“I checked on the Internet yesterday and it said that this was the place to buy tickets. But now they say that I have to go to another terminal,” she said.
Buses were operating in the temporary terminal since the Puduraya terminal was closed in April last year for renovation costing RM52.7mil.
The upgrading project was supposed to be completed in September, but was delayed due to additional work at the base of the building.

BUSES have stopped using the Bukit Jalil temporary terminal since the Puduraya bus terminal started operations on Saturday.
The temporary ticket counters and food stalls which were set up at the Bukit Jalil terminal were also found to be empty.
Workers have started dismantling the ticket counters and food stalls.
A food stall operator, who only wanted to be known as Ang, said traders did not move out on April 15 although it was the last day of operations because there were too many of them moving.
“Yesterday, it was too crowded as many of the stall owners and bus operators were moving out. That is why some of us are still here to collect our belongings,” said Ang.
Ceased operations: The temporary ticket counters are empty as the bus operators have relocated to Puduraya.
There were also a banner stating that the terminal has ceased operations.
However, there was also some confusion because there were still some passengers who went to the terminal to buy tickets thinking that the counters were still operating only to be told by the security guards that the bus operators have relocated to Puduraya or Bandar Tasik Selatan.
Wan Yusof Mail, 23, who was there to buy tickets to Cameron Highlands with his friends, said he was not aware of the relocation.
“We heard about it but we were not sure. I also live and work in this area. When I passed by the terminal yesterday it was still operating and there were still a lot of people which is why we came today thinking the counters will be still open,” he said.
Roger Lee, 25, who was also there to buy his ticket to Teluk Intan, said he was confused because there was not much information telling people that the temporary terminal had relocated to Puduraya.
“I did not hear about the relocation. Maybe those who travel frequently would know. Even the taxi driver who took me here thought the terminal was still in operation,” he said.
A tourist from Ireland, Louise Hancock, also travelled to the terminal by taxi only to be told that she had to go to Puduraya.

Puduraya Terminal to begin operations - 16 April 2011
The 35-year-old Puduraya bus terminal will finally open for operations tomorrow after undergoing massive renovations costing RM52.7mil. The opening was delayed several times due to additional work on the base of the building.
UDA Holdings Berhad managing director Datuk Jaafar Abu Hassan said the terminal is 98% ready with the exception of certain areas. He said both north-bound and intra-city buses will begin operations tomorrow.
“Bus companies and retail outlets are in the process of collecting their keys and moving from the temporary terminal at Bukit Jalil,’’ he said.
The new Puduraya terminal has three new waiting areas, one on the Mezzanine floor and two more on the first floor. There are two units of walkalators and disabled-friendly facilities.
There are 50 ticketing counters on the first floor. “We have appointed a company to develop an e-ticketing system, and they will work with the bus companies to streamline the system proper,’’ said Jaafar. He added that the e-ticketing system would incorporate the system the bus companies were currently using and that he hoped to resolve the e-ticketing problem as soon as possible.
“Once e-ticketing is enforced, we can resolve the tout problem as people can now buy tickets online and via the e-kiosk. Buses will now have to park at the depot at Jalan Galloway and they will be given a 20-minute waiting time before they can come into Puduraya to pick up passengers,’’ Jaafar said.
“They (buses) will no longer be allowed to park outside the terminal, and situations of them queuing up outside the terminal with their engines running and causing congestion will no longer happen,’’ he said.
He added contractors will be on standby on Saturday to ensure that everything goes according to plan.
Land Public Transport Commis-sions (LPTC) head of State Operations and Terminal Licensing Mohd Fuad Ahmad said there would be extra enforcement by the authorities tomorrow. “We will not tolerate touting and anyone found guilty of touting can be charged in court and fined up to RM50,000 or face a maximum jail term of two years,’’ said Mohd Fuad.
“We will go all out to catch them (touts) as our enforcement personnel will be placed in strategic places to monitor their activities,’’ Mohd Fuad said.
On the upgrading of Puduraya Hotel, which has been renamed Angkasa Express, work is expected to complete by June.
The terminal was closed in April 2010 for upgrading works and was supposed to be re-opened in September last year.

KLIA ticket holders to get 10% discount at airport retailer’s stores
KLIA Express ticket holders will be rewarded with a special 10% discount at Eraman Malaysia, the retail arm of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, whenever they spend a minimum of RM350 at any participating outlets.

“Their posts in the blogs will encourage people to visit the various districts of Selangor as the competition covers the entire state,” said Tourism Selangor events and marketing manager Fazly Razally.
Existing and new bloggers are encouraged to participate in the competition.
The competition is open to local and foreigners of all ages. Participants are to eat in any food outlet, big or small eateries, from restaurants to stalls.

鼓励学美术让生活添色彩
她坦言，美术与我们日常生活息息相关，因此能鼓励孩子学习美术，让生活中更多色彩。
她是在今日出席佛光缘美术馆主办，以及乡宇美育中心展出的“我们都很特別！：乡宇美育中心学员作品展”致词时，如此表示。出席者包括国际佛光会马来西亚协会会长宋耀瑞居士和关丹禪静中心当家依清法师。
叶记光：展出8特殊童作品
乡宇美育中心创办人叶记光表示，该展览共分成3个部份，即特別陶瓷、压克力画，以及特殊儿童的作品。他说，这次共展出8名特殊儿童，包括患有自闭症、过动、肌肉萎缩症和听觉障碍等的儿童等所绘出的作品、15幅压克力画和逾80件陶瓷作品。
“每个作品都是独一无二，尤其是特殊儿童孩子，我们在接收孩子前，也是经过多方的考量，感谢我的太太兼绘画导师张译尹对孩子的付出与用心。”
他坦言，部份父母基於担心该中心不肯接纳孩子，在报名参加绘画课程时隱瞒，不过经过教导后被发现，不过他们夫妇俩也仍没有放弃，而是接受且用不同的方式来教导孩子。
“这次展览的所有作品都是学员作品，虽然曾有人有意购买，不过我们鼓励父母收藏孩子的作品，如今父母都不愿变卖，因此这次的展览仅供欣赏。”
谢忝宋：作品特別有创意
另一方面，堂门金石书画会会长谢忝宋在为该展览致开幕词时表示，他对“我们都很特別”展览的作品感到赞嘆。
他说，孩子的作品非常特別，他们用本身最纯真的想法创作，而经过导师耐心指导后，增加双方的互动性，启发孩子的创意。

There’s a lot that’s the same
Curious about Cambodian cuisine? Take the up-coming Khmer New Year to find out about it and Cambodian new year traditions as well.
GASTRONOMICALLY speaking, Malaysians are truly a lucky bunch. Not only have we inherited culinary traditions from the diverse ethnic groups that make up the country, our geographical location also makes it easy for us to enjoy the bounties of our South-East Asian neighbours.
For example, dishes such as tom yum, pho (beef noodles) and gado gado would probably require no introduction. But apart from Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia – where these dishes are from – there are also other countries with yet to be discovered offerings.
One of them is Cambodia, an agricultural country bordering Thailand, Laos and Vietnam, which has, until quite recently, been under the radar.
This is no longer the case, however. Along with the popularisation of its ancient Angkor Wat temples, more people are interested to know what else this historical hotbed has to offer.
According to Princess Norodom Arunrasmy, ambassador of Cambodia to Malaysia, the staple food in her country is rice, which is no different from many Asian countries.
“A Cambodian meal without a cloud of snowy white rice is unthinkable,” she states.
Besides that, Cambodians also consume a lot of fish, which is caught from the sea or from the Tonle Sap, a major lake and river system that is integral to the sustenance of the people.
“A meal consisting of rice and grilled fish topped with shredded mangoes and soy sauce is good enough for me,” says Princess Arunrasmy, noting that there are some similarities between their grilled fish and our ikan bakar.
And during times when the fishermen have caught an excess of fish, villagers will turn them into prahok, a fermented fish paste made of just fish and salt.
This process, according to Princess Arunrasmy, takes months and once done, the paste can last for some time.
“This versatile ingredient is definitely something that you can find in most Cambodian households,” she reveals, adding that the strong-tasting condiment can be added to just about any dish, including soups or ground meat, to give it a distinct flavour.
Bounties: Even the poorest households will give away food as an offering to the temples during the Khmer New Year.
“If I could equate it to something that we’re all familiar with, anchovies would be the closest. In fact, this was what I used as a substitute when I was living abroad in the United States,” she says.
She does offer a word of caution, however. “This is something that would be difficult for most people to accept because their palates are not used to the strong taste.”
For example, she adds, an anchovy pizza is agreeable to her but it may not be the topping of choice for a lot of people.
During the Cambodian New Year – or Chaul Chnam Thmey, which translates literally to “Enter Year New”, many people, including the poor, will also prepare dishes that include prahok to be given as offerings to the temple.
“First thing that they do in the morning is to cook,” says Princess Arunrasmy of the three-day celebration that takes place from April 14 to 16. It marks the end of the harvesting season, when farmers enjoy the fruits of their labour before the rainy season commences.
The first day of the celebration is when the official reception to receive God takes place. “People will light candles and pray at a specific time,” she says.
There’s no set time for this and it changes every year. “It could be as early as 4am or it could be in the afternoon but whatever time it is people will make sure they are available then.” This year, it is 1.12pm.

The second day, which falls on a full moon, will be the time when the King of Cambodia will personally bathe a monk as a gesture of gratitude.
On the third day, Cambodians will offer something to the king – usually a package comprising candles, flowers and scented water.
For this occasion, each household will strive to prepare the best food that they can to be offered to the temples, no matter how poor they are, according to Princess Arunrasmy.
As this is also the time when they visit cemeteries, they may also prepare food in accordance to what their late relatives liked to eat.
“It is like the Hari Raya, where it is all about sharing and offering. People will buy new clothes, spring clean and beautify their homes for the celebration.”
It is also a time for communal activities. “People get together and play games and there will be music and some joget,” says Princess Arunrasmy.
However, there’s neither a specific reunion dinner nor a convention of handing out ang pow. “But the ang pow thing has changed recently; probably due to globalisation,” she jokes.

Nowadays, it is common practice for Cambodians to hand out small cash bonuses to their employees during the occasion.
However, it doesn’t have to be in a packet of a particular colour or even be in a packet at all. “It’s okay to hand just the notes,” she says.
Back to Cambodian cuisine, Princess Arunrasmy agrees that there are Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese influences.
“It has been strongly affected by fluctuations in its geography, politics and economy.”
However, she notes the one element that has remained constant. “The vital part of the formula to our cuisine has always been the kreuang (rempah), an herb paste that requires a few hours of preparation.”
To make this, she says, skill and experience are essential. “Everything must be cut, sliced, chopped and then pounded in a stone mortar in a certain way to produce the right texture and smoothness.”
The royal version of this paste comprises nine basic ingredients: garlic, dried chillies, galangal, turmeric, shallots, kaffir leaves, lemongrass and the roots of Chinese parsley.
But she does believe that Cambodian food has the potential to garner wide acceptance. “If you look at it, our food is very international – there are stir-frys like Chinese dishes, barbecued ones like those in the West, and salad and vegetable dishes that are similar to Thailand’s kerabu.
She continues: “We even have food similar to Malaysian dishes such as the amok, which is like otak-otak; and beef saraman, a curry dish that can be mistaken for rendang if not for its tamarind base. There’s also a fish curry noodle called nom banhchok namya, which I refer to as Cambodian laksa.”
Unfortunately, there aren’t any Cambodian restaurants in Malaysia and one may actually have to visit the country to get a true taste of its culinary offerings. For this reason, Princess Arunrasmy confesses that she has often toyed with the idea of setting up one in the 12 years that she has been here.
“But I’ve been too busy to do so. I still, however, introduce friends and colleagues to Cambodian dishes that are prepared in my own kitchen when they come to visit!”

Vettel wins F1 Malaysian Grand Prix
Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel won the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday, giving the German back-to-back wins to open the season.
The pole sitter led throughout to win by 3.2 seconds from McLaren's Jenson Button, with Renault's Nick Heidfeld hanging on for third.
Vettel's Red Bull teammate Mark Webber recovered from a poor start, using a four-stop strategy around the Sepang International circuit to claim fourth place, with Ferrari's Felipe Massa fifth.
Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and McLaren's Lewis Hamilton had a collision in the closing laps that dropped them down to sixth and seventh respectively.
Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi took eighth place, while Mercedes' Michael Schumacher made a very late passing maneuver to take ninth from Force India's Paul Di Resta, who took the last point in 10th.
Vettel's victory was made more impressive by the malfunctioning of the KERS device on the Red Bull, with the German told midway through the race that he could no longer use it.
Webber also appeared to have problems with it, dropping from third to ninth after just one lap. By contrast, both Renaults made storming starts, with Heidfeld moving from sixth to second by the second corner.
With rain surprisingly holding off throughout, the closing stages developed into a fight to see who could make their tires last longest. Button used his trademark tire management to claim second.
Heidfeld came under intense pressure in the final laps but managed to hold off Webber.
One of the major talking points was a collision between old rivals Hamilton and Alonso with 10 laps to go. The Ferrari driver tried a switchback passing move on Hamilton but did not quite measure the distance correctly, and snapped off the left endplate of his front wing by nudging Hamilton's right rear tire.
Alonso had to pit for a new front wing, while Hamilton struggled thereafter as his tires degraded, and was passed by Heidfeld then Webber before admitting defeat and pitting for new rubber with only three laps left.

With rain surprisingly holding off throughout, the closing stages developed into a fight to see who could make their tires last longest. Button used his trademark tire management to claim second.
Heidfeld came under intense pressure in the final laps but managed to hold off Webber.
One of the major talking points was a collision between old rivals Hamilton and Alonso with 10 laps to go. The Ferrari driver tried a switchback passing move on Hamilton but did not quite measure the distance correctly, and snapped off the left endplate of his front wing by nudging Hamilton's right rear tire.
Alonso had to pit for a new front wing, while Hamilton struggled thereafter as his tires degraded, and was passed by Heidfeld then Webber before admitting defeat and pitting for new rubber with only three laps left.

《宝镜》音乐剧今年杪重现舞台，全新姿態呈献，將大马的舞台艺术表演推向世界。
《宝镜》音乐剧继2008年引来外界热烈回响后，观音基金会今年再次將它搬上更大的国际舞台，有关演出订於11月25日至12月4日，一连10场，在国家文化宫掀开序幕。
很多民眾盼《宝镜》重演
观音基金会秘书长兼《宝镜2011》音乐剧製作人拿汀陈瑞莱表示，音乐剧在2008年圆满落幕后，基金会接获很多民眾询问是否重演。
也是创意总监和艺术总监的她表示，基金会希望借著《宝镜2011》將大马的文化艺术退到更高的领域，也希望让更多的民眾有机会体会观音慈悲的呼唤以及人性真善美。
“在大马製作这么大型的中文音乐剧还需要很大的勇气和毅力，我们希望有兴趣的企业热心赞助，共同推广文化艺术，以及承办更多的有益活动，带给社会祥和、凈化人心。”
她今早偕同《宝镜2011》音乐总监兼导演周金亮、音乐剧导演兼总编舞於晓雪以及编舞马金泉，在新闻发佈会上这么表示。
以“观音寻观音”的新概念呈献
周金亮也表示，今年的音乐剧將会以“观音寻观音”的新概念呈献，其中故事元素没有改变，通过重新调整演员阵容和崭新的演绎方式，注入更高的艺术成份，相信將带来更大的突破。
“对我来说这將会一个很大的挑战，我们希望以最適合的人选来演绎最適合的角色，通过马中两地演员的合作，促成一个完美的表演。”
目前积极招考演员
同时，也是中国名舞蹈家的於晓雪透露，音乐剧目前正在积极招考演员，前来面试的年轻人所呈现的素质和才华，不论是在歌唱、演绎及舞蹈上都让人惊艷，因此有信心將带来一场美好的表演。
另外，曾在《宝镜》音乐剧中饰演白衣观音的大马歌手戴丽津和在新闻发佈会现场演绎一首音乐剧歌曲，美妙的歌声让出席者沉醉其中。

这一项別开生面的支持仪式將为期一个月，至5月4为止。来自不同国家的9个世界高塔联盟成员在週一晚8时点亮高塔上的红白灯泡，参与这项传达支持给日本活动。它们包括加拿大的西恩塔、美国的约翰汉考克中心、澳门的澳门旅游塔、韩国的首尔塔、加拿大的蒙特利尔奥林匹克体育场、纽西兰的天空塔、美国的太空针塔、英国的三角帆塔和马来西亚的吉隆坡塔。

多朵大红花的花瓣，被整齐摆放在铁架上，並且被洒上10%的蜜糖和90%的水份，以作为成蝶（大双的蝴蝶）在採不到鲜花的蜜源时的附加食物。
城市人，你到底有多久没到过吉隆坡蝴蝶公园了？你可知道，吉隆坡蝴蝶公园已今非昔比，不仅仅是蝴蝶们悠游自在翩翩飞舞的“天堂”，也不只是各种乌龟和昆虫的“安乐窝”，更是旅客和许多学府带团研究和钻研蝴蝶和昆虫標本、蒐集各种与生物息息相关的“珍贵宝库”。
这个坐落在湖滨公园的蝴蝶公园，確实是城市地区不可多得的“宝”，它已重新装修和美化，让置身其间者可以更舒適的置身在青葱秀丽的园林景致里。只要你愿意花些时间游走在蝴蝶园里，就可亲身体会到蝴蝶由蛹化蝶的过程和生態，感受到生命的美妙，甚至有可能成为真正的蝴蝶专家。

自收购了这座佔地8千平方呎的公园后，方振德就全情投入於重新规划和改造工作，为他心爱的蝴蝶宝贝赋以全新的生態环境，即在公园內栽种了大量的花卉植物和大棵树木，並在距离地面最少有50呎高的上空围起了网，让在高空飞翔的蝴蝶不会“离家出走”。
他打趣说，人会放鬆减压，蝴蝶也是一样，如果让它们在狭小的空间飞来飞去，很容易遇上“交通阻塞”。
仔细观察打量，他围起的网果然与眾不同，因为据他的观察，国內其他的蝴蝶园大约只有12呎的高度，而他就选择突破原有的框框和格局，把蝴蝶网设定在离地面有50呎高！
“这样才能让蝴蝶有更高和更阔的空间，可以飞来飞去呀！”
半原始半人造公园
“在我接管之前，公园是纯粹以森林的概念来打造，如今却是半原始半人造的公园，因为过於美观和现代化的环境，並不適合蝴蝶居住。”
他说，蝴蝶要经歷4个不同的发育和成长阶段，而且幼虫吃植物的叶、蝴蝶要吮吸花蜜等，加上要有適当的棲息之处，具备这些条件之后，才能建构成它们的‘家园’。”
已堪称为蝴蝶专家的他说，蝴蝶园內有30种专为蝴蝶栽种的树木、草本和攀藤植物，而蝴蝶的种类有如天上繁星般，全世界有1万4千多种。
蝴蝶寿命最长只14天
“蝴蝶喜欢躲藏起来，以便可以专心享用他们的花蜜。它们的寿命只有7至10天左右，长命的也有14天，不过也有蝴蝶不慎被蚂蚁咬到，那就活不了，死在它当时停歇的地点啦！”
方振德说，蝴蝶每次平均可產200粒卵，而它们的幼虫喜欢吃的叶子有很多种，包括柚子叶、桔子叶和棕櫚科植物的叶子等。目前，该公园的经营费为每个月3万令吉。
不说不知，在蝴蝶园內，除了有活生生绚丽多彩的蝴蝶在四处飞舞之外，也设有蝴蝶和昆虫博物馆，展示来自大马和世界各国不计其数的蝴蝶和昆虫標本。
饲养罕见乌龟牛蛙
此外，蝴蝶园范围內也有一个以人造石山製成的一个小隧道，两旁陈列了多个水族箱，里面就饲养的各种罕见的乌龟和牛蛙等两棲类，为初次造访者带来另一项意外的惊喜。

掌管雪州旅游、环境及消费人事务的行政议员黄洁冰表示，雪州政府放眼今年的游客人数將增长至600万人，並將焦点放在沙白安南、瓜冷及乌雪。
她披露，雪州去年的旅游业达到最好表现，游客人数达到约580万人，其中约320万为本地游客，而250万游客来自外国。
她在回答双溪比力州议员叶怡华提问时指出，雪州政府去年已鉴定9个旅游景点，今年將继续寻找新的旅游景点，並提昇设施及旅游胜地，而各地方政府也不时巡视旅游景点。
她表示，雪州政府將从今年6月起，在全雪州设立旅游告示牌，尤其是在边界地带，以让游客留下正面印象。
“此外，雪州政府也通过杂志、光碟、小册子等，以向游客介绍各旅游景点。”

ASIAN music lovers will soon be thrilled by an explosive line-up of more than 20 artistes from seven countries a the the Asian Music Festival.
The 10-hour long festival — presented by Tiger beer — is set to be the biggest Asian musical event in the country.
The festival will kick off at 2pm at The Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC) in Sri Kembangan on April 30.
The performers include Se7en from South Korea; Edison Chen, Paul Wong, FAMA, 24 Herbs and Sam Lee aka DJ Becareful from Hong Kong; Tiger Huang, Jing Chang, Lollipop F, Derrick Ho, Kevin Lin from Taiwan; Bibi from China; Olivia Ong and A-Do from Singapore; The Bottom Blues and Namcha from Thailand; as well as Malaysia’s Suki, dayDream, Jess Lee, Josh Lai, Will Ng, Manhand, Rosevelt and Hao Ren from Malaysia.
All set: dayDream, the 6-piece Mandarin rock band, is ready to rock the crowd at the event.
The celebrity emcees of the event — Paisley Wu from Hong Kong and Astro MY FM deejays Mei Yan and Jeff Chin — will also be on hand to add to the excitement.
“Tiger, a brand that is distinctively edgy, aims to bring forth the biggest musical event of 2011 by featuring more than 20 amazing performers and 10 hours of genre-defining music.
