Musical moments in the air
ASIAN music lovers will soon be thrilled by an explosive line-up of more than 20 artistes from seven countries a the the Asian Music Festival.
The 10-hour long festival — presented by Tiger beer — is set to be the biggest Asian musical event in the country.
The festival will kick off at 2pm at The Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC) in Sri Kembangan on April 30.
The performers include Se7en from South Korea; Edison Chen, Paul Wong, FAMA, 24 Herbs and Sam Lee aka DJ Becareful from Hong Kong; Tiger Huang, Jing Chang, Lollipop F, Derrick Ho, Kevin Lin from Taiwan; Bibi from China; Olivia Ong and A-Do from Singapore; The Bottom Blues and Namcha from Thailand; as well as Malaysia’s Suki, dayDream, Jess Lee, Josh Lai, Will Ng, Manhand, Rosevelt and Hao Ren from Malaysia.
All set: dayDream, the 6-piece Mandarin rock band, is ready to rock the crowd at the event.
The celebrity emcees of the event — Paisley Wu from Hong Kong and Astro MY FM deejays Mei Yan and Jeff Chin — will also be on hand to add to the excitement.
“Tiger, a brand that is distinctively edgy, aims to bring forth the biggest musical event of 2011 by featuring more than 20 amazing performers and 10 hours of genre-defining music.
“We expect to have more than 20, 000 music lovers under one roof,” Tiger Beer marketing manager Sean Koh said.
Also present at the launch of the festival recently were Malaysian artistes Jess Lee, Suki Low, Manhand and dayDream.
The artistes are equally excited about the music festival, and look forward to bring forth the best in their performance for all their fans.

Asian Music Festival tickets are priced at RM128 and RM248 (Rock Zone) respectively.
All tickets are free standing and are now available for sale at Galaxy Headquarters at The Boulevard, Mid-Valley City and Galaxy ticket counters located at Concourse level, Sungei Wang and Wisma MPL (HLA).
They are also available at Ticket Charge outlets (www.ticketcharge.com.my) and Speedy Video outlets nationwide (including Sabah and Sarawak).
Additionally, fans can also purchase the tickets at all Rock Corner and Station One outlets in peninsular Malaysia.

Tiger FC members as well as Tiger FC Credit Card and Prepaid Card holders will enjoy a 10% discount on the ticket price by flashing their cards at all Galaxy ticketing counters.
